But getting beautiful tamamono, a spherical bush, or karikomi of more organic form remains a challenge and is not within the reach of all the shears. For some people, this is the most difficult pruning. It requires enormous aptitudes, such as three-dimensional vision, good understanding of space, precision, finesse of perception, correct estimation of dimensions and proportions, … etc.
