This morning, the good weather is there, and we go towards the Kyoto East to discover the huge Kennin-ji temple and its gardens …
Then we have lunch in a very old restaurant.
After a vegetarian lunch with finesse, we go to the famous garden of Kodai-ji …
… then we continue with another garden in front of it, smaller, but with a beautiful stones arrangement…
… to finish the afternoon in this picturesque Gion district and its small streets full of charm, typical of the city of Kyoto, with a necessary step in the tea room with a koi pond of great price, evidence for this tancho, white with a single red spot on the top of the head, especially popular among Japanese people because of the pattern recalling the flag of the country. We are celebrating the publishing of my third book “Niwaki and Japanese gardens – create nature reflections” (only in French for the moment, but I hope in English very soon !), savouring an matcha ice accompanied by mashed of red beans and a roasted tea. This mixture is divine … definitely!
