Japan 2016 – Day 2 – Kanazawa

Today out of bed very early, I jump in my sneakers and hop, towards Kanazawa at the north by the express Thunderbird, city rightly nicknamed the little Kyoto.

I begin with the ancient samurai district and Villa of Nomura Family … Tiny roji is a real gem ! I just love it !

I continue my tour with the garden Kenrokuen, famous, endowed with exceptional niwaki of pines . However, even if it is beautiful, it is not my favorite style of garden, loving more intimate, more shaded, like small havens of tranquility where one feels protected.

I enjoy to also visit the Seison-kaku residence of the Maeda Clan nearby and I’m lucky – since it is not normally open to the public – to admire and photograph the chaniwa, a tea garden classified as National Scenic Beauty.

And I close this day by a very beautiful place, a pearl as I like them… Gyokusen-en.

Satisfied … but tired! I have not yet digested the time difference. I still tell “see you tomorrow”!
