I started this new stay in Japan in a heavy, moist heat of Indian summer which imposes me a slower pace. It is placed this year in the theme of tea garden, the chaniwa. And as usual, it provides me amazing surprises!
For example, I came here this year with the intention of finding the old rare object, recycled for my future chaniwa of Garden Shizen no sei. When I asked myself, that where I was able to find it, and no sooner had I set foot on Japanese estate, the universe already filled me with the famous and desired ridge tile, from an old building under renovation, with a big smile offered by the owner.
After the final arrangements and reservations made this morning for the next study tour SPIRITUAL NIWAKI JAPAN TOUR 2016, I am ready this afternoon to discover the secret sanctuary, nay … impenetrable, the Urasenke tea School. Everything is organized so that I take well aware of the immense honor done to me. I am accompanied by no fewer than three people, responsible for External Relations, in charge of the garden and buildings and a tea master. Once presented briefly to Zabosai Soshitsu Sen – XVIth Grand Master – in person, I have finally 15 minutes allowed in the classified cultural domain of three centuries old … I unfortunately can not show you here (I only have few shots allowed with destination already planned). There are no words to describe such beauty, this antiquated atmosphere …
You will be obliged to “satisfy” yourself with the other part of the garden, more recent, but which nonetheless fabulous … I am still very moved … I have even got permission to film. So I will introduce it to you in the next time through a video on your prefered e-learning platform !
See you tomorrow !
